Our cat was getting more and more insistent on being on the kitchen counter to look for food. She would wait until we left the kitchen and start her counter surfing activities. We would clap, shout, or spray her with water to discourage her. When she started jumping up on the counter when we were IN the kitchen we knew we had to try something else. Ssscat Cat has put an end to her counter adventures. She stays off the counter, even in the middle of the night. No more kitchen sponges in odd places in the house. No more foot prints in the sink. No more jumping up while we are preparing food. This is a great and gentle way to discourage cat counter surfing.

I put this product on my breakfast bar,and sure enough my cat went to see what it was and got sprayed.I even took the product away and he still will not get up on the breakfast bar,Amazing!!!!

I have a cat who likes to eat silk flowers, which he then returns to me in considerably deteriorated condition later! NOT good for my carpets! I had just about given up keeping any silk flower arrangements or silk trees in my home, until while looking hopefully one more time on Amazon.com, I ran across the Innotek Ssscat Cat Training Aid. Having tried everything else, including a Scat Mat, which I did NOT like using, as I did not like giving my cat even a mild electric shock, I decided to give Ssscat a try. Well, the results were amazing! It took one venture near some silk lilacs to cure my Wicket of any more attempts to get even close to silk plants of any sort. I heard the hiss of the Ssscat, then a crash as the can fell over, and a whole lot of scrabbling sounds of kitty claws on the tile floor, and he was under the bed, hiding out. My other cat (who does not EAT silk plants) also investigated one day, and had much the same experience. ONE time each, and I have had no further problems. The Ssscat does nothing more than spray a fine mist of water with a relatively loud hissing noise, so it is absolutely harmess to pets or people. Thank you Innotek, for coming up with this marvelous little invention! I have several friends who were delighted to know of it, and planned on investing in one or two to keep their feline friends away from certain forbidden objects or areas. I have also had a few friends and family scared half out of their wits when THEY set off my Ssscat because I "forgot" to warn them it was sitting on the bathroom counter to protect a living lucky bamboo plant! It will only work once on each friend or family member, but my 13-year-old grandson laughed so hard after he got over the shock that he had to sit down on the floor until he recovered! Then he made me leave it on when his dad came to visit, and laughed even harder when HE got Ssscat-ed! If you have tried everything else to keep your cat (or dog, or small child, for that matter) away from something or somewhere, give Innotech Ssscat a try. It is well worth the price, and one refill lasts for a long time. A word of caution: Wherever you put the Ssscat, you WILL set it off occasionally yourself, and every time you do, you will jump a foot off the ground and tell yourself you will NEVER do that again! But you will - just ask me! And yes - it has a button on the can to turn it off; good luck remembering to do that before YOU walk in front of it!
